The plug-in smart card is used as a secure certificate storage device for electronic signature creation, authentication and encryption data.

In addition to the certificate, the Comfort product also includes a Starcos smart card, which serves as a secure data storage for the creation of the electronic signature and the certificate. A smart card reader is not included with this product.
