Traditional I.CA meeting with the financial sector of the Czech Republic and Slovakia
On September 11-12, 2025, the 17th annual meeting of I.CA with representatives of the banking and financial sectors from the Czech Republic and Slovakia took place. This year's event had a topical and very apt theme:
"When artificial intelligence meets a wallet from Brussels".
EU digital wallet - reality in sight
The main part of the program focused on the current state of preparations for the introduction of a European digital wallet (eWallet) in the Czech Republic and its expected benefits for citizens and companies.
Martin Mesršmíd from the Digital and Information Agency (DIA) outlined the state's readiness to implement this key European project.
The program also included a live demonstration of a functional eWallet prototype, which aroused great interest among the participants. Tomáš Šebek from the Minister of Health think tank spoke about its use in healthcare.
AI, security and banking under scrutiny
The professional level of the program was enriched by expert presentations on current topics:
- AI chatbot errors – Tomáš Rosa, Raiffeisenbank
- Scam fraud as a growing threat – Adam Falus, T-Mobile
In the field of banking, presentations were made:
- European news in the field of banking – Tomáš Hládek, Czech Banking Association
- Development of the Pay by Square payment solution – Peter Kopriva, Tatra banka
The company I.CA presented news in the field of issuing certificates for electronic signatures and digitizing paper archives, which can significantly contribute to the safe and effective digitization of documents in the public and private sectors.
