Archival Electronic Time stamps - detail

Properties

The client collects classic electronic time stamps, the internal I.CA system monitors the validity of the issued time stamp. Before expiration of the time stamp, resp. before the expiration of the certificate of the time authority servers, but at the earliest after the issuance of a new certificate, the system will re-stamp the time stamp and store it in internal I.CA systems. Based on the client's request, I.CA searches for a specific stamp and provides the client with:

Re-stamped stamps
Protocol on chained / rescheduled stamps signed by I.CA
Rescheduled Stamp Service (Authenticated Web Service)
Complete data structure for the needs of eg expert witnesses

Archive electronic time stamps are used especially where the client needs to store electronic documents or data for a longer period of time (approx. 10 years, so-called medium-term archiving) and at the same time to prove the validity of the document, time of its storage, content.
